It all quit because someone tried to copper feel. Then it just got a zinc-ing feeling inside.

At the last report, it was just depressed and could not release anything of value.

How is deflation worse? Why does everyone think inflation must happen? Eventually this results in currency collapse and the issuing of a new currency. See numerous countries for examples. Why do we want that?

That’s how hyper-inflation (inflation at more, often much more than 50% monthly ) works. It is not how the Fed’s 2-3% annual inflation works.

And there is a very good reason for inflation, specifically if you have a non-inflationary currency, often just hoarding currency is a good option. Inflation counters that since if you just have money sitting around without being used productively, you are effectively losing money on it so it encourages investment to stay ahead of inflation (and that investment encourages economic growth). You can of course use other methods to achieve the same effect (such as a wealth tax), but inflation is nice because there’s no real way to evade it.
